The prayer of faith will restore the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. (James 5:15 AMP)

A sweet couple at our church is asking for prayer as their 7 year old son is facing extensive abdominal surgery. Would you join us in praying for “Aidan” today? From her social media post:
Praying friends, I have an urgent need.
“Aidan” is scheduled for a fairly extensive surgery tomorrow morning, and we are asking for people to cover him in prayer especially between 10am–5pm.
As a mama, this is my baby. I’m asking from the deepest place in my heart… please pray for my boy.
This has been one of the hardest seasons we’ve ever walked through. This precious boy has been so incredibly brave, but it’s been heavy. Even with all our family has faced before, this feels overwhelming.
Placing him in the hands of strangers… I’d be lying if I said I’m not a wreck on the inside. I’m holding onto the truth that he is ultimately in God’s hands.
We are praying for wisdom over every member of his medical team, for steady hands, and for a smooth, successful procedure.
We are believing for healing, health, and complete wholeness for him and a clear, smooth road to recovery. I just want my boy to have his spark back, full of life, joy, and strength.
We trust that God will redeem and restore everything that has been stolen.
“Jesus said to him, ‘If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.’ Immediately the father of the boy cried out and said with tears, ‘Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!” Mark 9:23–24
Thank you for standing with us in prayer.
Jesus our Healer,
We come to you to intercede for “Aidan” and his family as they face this extensive surgery today. We pray for wisdom and accuracy for the medical professionals, for a smooth recovery with no complications, and for a resolution of the symptoms that led to the surgery. May he return to full health and full energy – a seven year old full of life with his spark, joy, and strength. We pray for your peace that passes understanding to be on his parents, grandparents, and others standing with them. We command all fear to leave them, and they would be saturated with your Shalom, Hope, and Presence. We commit this day, this surgery, and this family into your hands, and ask these things in Jesus’ name, AMEN.
