God of Truth and Justice,
We are in awe before your majesty, power, and might. We proclaim your majesty, giving all glory and strength back to you. We worship you in the beauty of holiness, arrayed in all your splendor, giving you the honor due your name. Your voice echoes through the skies and seas, thundering in the clouds. Your voice is so powerful, brilliant, and bright – you are majestic as you thunder over the great waters! Do not keep silent, O God. Do not hold your peace or be still, for your enemies and those who hate you have raised their heads and conspire together against your people. They concoct crafty schemes against your hidden and precious ones. They conspire to confine and destroy your Church. They redefine words to fit their agenda; their “justice” is a perversion – even an opposition – to your True Justice. Their “morality” is relative and continually changing – not attempting to line up with your True Morality. Their “fairness” advances a social agenda that creates more hatred and division – it certainly doesn’t align with your True Compassion and Fairness. Break the power of the wicked in this day. Deal with them as you did in the Old Testament when enemies rose up against your chosen People. Rise up now with your perfect, righteous judgment and justice against those who come against your Word, your People, and your Church. As a fire consumes the forest or a flame sets the mountains ablaze, pursue your enemies with the terror of your storm. Make them no more dangerous than a tumbleweed or chaff in the wind – ineffective and gone. May they be dismayed and perish in disgrace; cover their faces with shame, Lord, so they will seek your name. You alone are the Most High over all the earth. Holy Spirit, move in power and might over this land. Turn hearts and minds and spirits to YOU and only you. Show your enemies the power of your Word and give them a hunger for YOUR Truth, Justice, Fairness, Morality, and Compassion. Turn their hearts from their evil thoughts and ways and, by the power of the Blood of Christ, cause them to seek your forgiveness and your Kingdom. You, alone, are Lord. Your glory reaches to the heavens and fills the earth with your Presence. Move in this day with power we pray in Jesus’s name. Amen!
1 Do not keep silent, O God; Do not hold Your peace or be still, O God.
2 For behold, Your enemies are in tumult,
And those who hate You have raised their heads [in hatred of You].
3 They concoct crafty schemes against Your people,
And conspire together against Your hidden and precious ones.
4 They have said, “Come, and let us wipe them out as a nation;
Let the name of Israel be remembered no more.”
5 For they have conspired together with one mind;
Against You they make a covenant—
6 The tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites,
Of Moab and the Hagrites,
7 Gebal and Ammon and Amalek,
Philistia with the inhabitants of Tyre.
8 Assyria also has joined with them;
They have helped the children of Lot [the Ammonites and the Moabites] and have been an arm [of strength] to them. Selah.
9 Deal with them as [You did] with Midian,
As with Sisera and Jabin at the brook of Kishon,
10 Who were destroyed at En-dor,
Who became like dung for the earth.
11 Make their nobles like Oreb and Zeeb
And all their princes like Zebah and Zalmunna,
12 Who said, “Let us possess for ourselves the pastures of God.”
13 O my God, make them like whirling dust,
Like chaff before the wind [worthless and without substance].
14 Like fire consumes the forest,
And like the flame sets the mountains on fire,
15 So pursue them with Your tempest
And terrify them with [the violence of] Your storm.
16 Fill their faces with shame and disgrace,
That they may [persistently] seek Your name, O Lord.
17 Let them be ashamed and dismayed forever;
Yes, let them be humiliated and perish,
18 That they may know that You alone, whose name is the Lord,
Are the Most High over all the earth. (Psalm 83 AMP)
1 O God, do not remain silent;
do not turn a deaf ear,
do not stand aloof, O God.
2 See how your enemies growl,
how your foes rear their heads.
3 With cunning they conspire against your people;
they plot against those you cherish.
4 “Come,” they say, “let us destroy them as a nation,
so that Israel’s name is remembered no more.”
5 With one mind they plot together;
they form an alliance against you—
6 the tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites,
of Moab and the Hagrites,
7 Byblos, Ammon and Amalek,
Philistia, with the people of Tyre.
8 Even Assyria has joined them
to reinforce Lot’s descendants.[b]
9 Do to them as you did to Midian,
as you did to Sisera and Jabin at the river Kishon,
10 who perished at Endor
and became like dung on the ground.
11 Make their nobles like Oreb and Zeeb,
all their princes like Zebah and Zalmunna,
12 who said, “Let us take possession
of the pasturelands of God.”
13 Make them like tumbleweed, my God,
like chaff before the wind.
14 As fire consumes the forest
or a flame sets the mountains ablaze,
15 so pursue them with your tempest
and terrify them with your storm.
16 Cover their faces with shame, Lord,
so that they will seek your name.
17 May they ever be ashamed and dismayed;
may they perish in disgrace.
18 Let them know that you, whose name is the Lord—
that you alone are the Most High over all the earth. (Psalm 83 NIV)
The power of the wicked will be broken,
but the Lord upholds the righteous. (Psalm 37:17. NIV)
1 Proclaim his majesty, all you mighty sons of Yahweh,
giving all the glory and strength back to him!
2 Be in awe before his majesty.
Be in awe before such power and might!
Come worship wonderful Yahweh, arrayed in all his splendor,
bowing in worship as he appears in the beauty of holiness.
Give him the honor due his name.
Worship him wearing the glory-garments
of your holy, priestly calling!
3–4 The voice of the Lord echoes through the skies and seas.
The Glory-God reigns as he thunders in the clouds.
So powerful is his voice, so brilliant and bright—
how majestic as he thunders over the great waters! (Psalm 29:1-4 TPT)
