January 18, 2021 Confuse the wicked, slay the giants

Giant-Slaying God,
We bless the Lord at all times; your praise is continually in our mouths. We magnify the Lord and exalt your name. We seek the Lord on the authority of your Word and you hear and answer us, delivering us from our fears. We reverently fear only you, Lord, because we know that there is no want for those who fear you. As we begin this week, we pray for protection over our military, elected officials, and government employees, especially those who are standing guard in Washington D.C. and in other capitals. We bind any spirit of violence that would seek to disrupt regular business in the U.S. capital and in every state capital of this nation. We loose a spirit of peace on these capitals and pray that your Spirit, your angel armies, and your people would cause any potential evil-doers to turn away from their evil plans. Confuse the wicked, O Lord; confound their speech. Strike down and cut off their finances, their transportation, their health, and their communication – whatever your hand causes – so that their wickedness and evil plans can be thwarted. We call to the Lord who saves us. The evil that surrounds this nation seems so strong right now, but we know that you, God, are so much stronger. Give your church the spirit of David, to rise up and fight in spirit and prayer against the giant enemies of your people, your Church, and this nation. Remind us that, if something as small as one stone can bring down a Goliath, then your angel armies, your praying church, and your purposes and plans can destroy the power of the darkness on this land. Remind us that times of testing are opportunities to trust you more for our victory because you are faithful. We stand on the promise that your face is against those who do evil and your eyes are toward the righteous – those with moral courage and spiritual integrity. You hear and rescue the righteous from distress and troubles. We pray for truth to be known, peace to be upheld, and a shifting of the spiritual atmosphere over this nation. We declare that every spiritual Goliath standing in the way of your Will, Plans, and Purposes for your people, your Church, and this nation will be slain in the name of Jesus. Amen and Amen. So be it.
“I will bless the Lord at all times;
His praise shall continually be in my mouth.
My soul makes its boast in the Lord;
The humble and downtrodden will hear it and rejoice.
O magnify the Lord with me,
And let us lift up His name together.
I sought the Lord [on the authority of His word],
and He answered me,
And delivered me from all my fears.
The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him
[with awe-inspired reverence and worship Him with obedience],
And He rescues [each of] them.
Turn away from evil and do good;
Seek peace and pursue it.
The eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous
[those with moral courage and spiritual integrity]
And His ears are open to their cry.
The face of the Lord is against those who do evil,
To cut off the memory of them from the earth.
When the righteous cry [for help], the Lord hears
And rescues them from all their distress and troubles.
And none of those who take refuge in Him will be condemned.”
(Psalm 34: 1-4, 7, 9, 14, 17 AMP)
“David said to the Philistine, ‘You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the LORD Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. This day the LORD will deliver you into my hands, and I’ll strike you down and cut off your head…'” (1 Samuel 17:45-46 NIV)
“I assure you and most solemnly say to you, whatever you bind [forbid, declare to be improper and unlawful] on earth shall have [already] been bound in heaven, and whatever you loose [permit, declare lawful] on earth shall have [already] been loosed in heaven.” (Matthew 18:18 AMP)
“Confuse the wicked, O Lord, confound their speech, for I see violence and strife in the city. Day and night they prowl about on its walls; malice and abuse are within it. Destructive forces are at work in the city; threats and lies never leave its streets. Let death take my enemies by surprise; let them go down alive to the grave, for evil finds lodging among them. But I call to God, and the LORD saves me.” (Psalm 59:9-11, 15-16 NIV)
“We all experience times of testing, which is normal for every human being. But God will be faithful to you. He will screen and filter the severity, nature, and timing of every test or trial you face so that you can bear it. And each test is an opportunity to trust him more, for along with every trial God has provided for you a way of escape that will bring you out of it victoriously.” (1 Corinthians 10:13 TPT)
“This is my Father’s world:
O let me ne’er forget
That though the wrong seems oft so strong,
God is the Ruler yet.
This is my Father’s world:
Why should my heart be sad?
The Lord is King: let the heavens ring!
God reigns; let earth be glad!” (M.D. Babcock)
“In ev’ry rough and stormy gale,
my anchor holds within the vale.
When all around my soul gives way,
he then is all my hope and stay.
“On Christ, the solid rock, I stand;
all other ground is sinking sand,
all other ground is sinking sand.” (Edward Mote)
