January 4, 2021 Prayer – Sleeping giant rising

Consistent God,

Thank you that you endure as long as the sun and moon, throughout all generations, and that your consistency gives us what we need to survive and thrive.  Thank you for knowing the beginning from the end of our circumstances.  Thank you for laughing at the evil forces who mock your Will and your Righteousness.  Thank you for awakening the sleeping giant of your praying Church to pray against the forces of evil in this day and hour.  Thank you for the mighty praying army of your called, chosen, and faithful followers that you have filled with your power and purpose.  Thank you, Lord Jesus, for your leadership in the battles we face and for the victory you will bring against the forces of evil in government, of apathy and evil in the Church, and of spiritual, economic, and emotional oppression.  Help your Bride to stand in faith, believing and declaring that your Will will be done and the plans of the enemy will be thwarted.  Although many people may feel despair or brokenness, help them to have eyes of faith to see how you are moving in this day and time.  Help us to worship you, especially in the hard times, knowing that it helps us remember who you are and to build faith. Help us to trust your leading that this time of trial will birth a new era of righteousness, peace, and hope.  Give your children great hope and faith as we see your greatness displayed in this world.  And may the righteous flourish in all ways because they live as your beloved children.  In the powerful name of Christ we pray, Amen.

“The Lord laughs at the wicked, for he knows their day is coming.” (Psalm 37:13 NIV)

They will wage war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will triumph over them because he is Lord of lords and King of kings—and with him will be his called, chosen and faithful followers.” (Rev. 17:14)

“May he endure as long as the sun,
as long as the moon, through all generations.
May he be like rain falling on a mown field,
    like showers watering the earth.
In his days may the righteous flourish
and prosperity abound till the moon is no more.” (Psalm 72:5-7)
