God,
You are our strength and shield, our trustworthy God who helps us and gives us strength. Thank you, God, for this most amazing day. Thank you for the harmony of nature, the consistency of days and nights and seasons, and the wonder of each intricate and beautiful creation of yours. Thank you that even when we cannot see the sunshine, its warmth and light are shining upon us. Thank you for the every-day things of cars that start most every time, furnaces that warm chilly mornings, and infrastructure systems that keep utilities flowing. Thank you for growers, transporters, and distributors of the food we eat. Thank you for birthdays, anniversaries, and other events that remind us of your provision, protection, and faithfulness to us. We give thanks to you for opening our eyes and ears to be attentive to your Spirit wooing us into your arms of love and your Kingdom. We thank you for the gift of Jesus in our lives and for the offer of eternity spent with you in perfect love and peace. We thank you, God, for this most amazing day. Amen!
