Fruitful families

[Please join me in praying for children, families, and our future on Thursdays this year.]

Let us pray the following over our families today:

God,

Thank you for the beautiful young lives you give parents to steward and for the grace and joy that is upon parenting when you are leading the process. Thank you that even when families go through rough seasons, you are still in the process. Today we pray that the hearts of parents would trust each other deeply. May husbands and wives rely on each other, believe in each other, and lack nothing from each other. May they comfort, encourage, and do only good to each other as your Word is a lamp for their feet and a light for their paths. May they consider new endeavors, but always expand prudently and without neglecting their own marriage and children. Gird them with spiritual, mental, and physical strength and fitness to work vigorously at their God-given tasks, so that they are planting fruitfulness in each other, in their children, and in other around them. Pour out your Spirit upon them so their efforts to honor you are bathed in fruitfulness and grace, we ask in Jesus’s name, AMEN.

The heart of my husband trusts me confidently, relies on me, believes in me, and lacks nothing of value. (Prov. 31:11)

I comfort, encourage, and do only good to my husband all the days of my life. (Prov. 31:12)

We will trust God’s Word to be a lamp for our feet and a light on our paths.  (Psalm 119:05)

We consider new endeavors, expanding prudently and without neglecting our household.  (Prov. 31:16)

We plant fruitful vines in our vineyards.  (Prov. 31:16)

We are girded with spiritual, mental, and physical strength and fitness to work vigorously at our God-given tasks. (Prov. 31:17)
