[Please join me in praying for the nation and world on Tuesdays this year.]

“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.”

(Matthew 5:14-15 NIV)

Vision-giving God,

As we start this second morning of the arts camp, I pray that these young people would hear your Spirit’s Voice and dream your dreams and see your visions for their lives. As they hear devotions, play games, learn and do at workshops, and fellowship with other believers, I pray that you would plant good seeds within them. May those seeds of vision and dreams grow into the fullness of abundant life lived in Christ. Protect these dreams and visions from the enemy’s efforts to steal, kill, and destroy. Give them life in abundance to enjoy as it is lived in relationship with you. But may their lives be not only about themselves, but about bringing your Light wherever they go. Give them Holy Spirit’s power to be your witnesses in arts & entertainment, business, media, the family, education, government, and the Church. Wherever they go, whether locally, nationally, or globally, may they call on you and pray to you. Listen to them, Holy God, and be found by them when they seek you. Pour out your Spirit on these artists so that they may impact the world with your Good News as they live out your vision for their gifts. We pray in Jesus’s name, AMEN.

“I will pour out my Spirit on all people.
Your sons and daughters will prophesy,
your old men will dream dreams,
your young men will see visions.
Even on my servants, both men and women,
I will pour out my Spirit in those days.” (Joel 2:28-29 NIV)

“The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance [to the full, till it overflows].” (John 10:10 AMP)

“”For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.  You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you,” declares the Lord.” (Jeremiah 29:11-14 NIV)

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” (Acts 1:8 ESV)
