“Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might.” (Ecclesiastes 9:10 NIV)

Way-making God,
We’ve reached the midpoint day of this year’s camp. Today, I pray for a full measure of Holy Spirit’s energy to be upon the adult volunteers at camp. We may be young at heart, but we are not necessarily young in energy, and we need a great deal of stamina to finish this week strong. Help us to finish the race of this camp – to complete the task you have given us as we testify to the good news of your grace. Help us to recover quickly from our efforts and energy given to these young artists. Keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of our faith, to not grow weary, and to not lose heart if there are struggles. Help us to run in such a way that you are glorified and that these children are blessed by our efforts. We ask in the strong name of Jesus Christ. AMEN.

“May the Lord direct your hearts into God’s love and Christ’s perseverance.” (2 Thessalonians 3:5 NIV)

“My only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.” (Acts 20:24 NIV)

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” (2 Timothy 4:7 NIV)

“Let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.” (Hebrews 12:1-3 NIV)

“Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.” (James 1:4 NIV)

“Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever.” (1 Corinthians 9:24-25 NIV)
