New Cora update

But now, this is what the Lord says—
    he who created you, Jacob,
    he who formed you, Israel:
“Do not fear, for I have redeemed you;
    I have summoned you by name; you are mine.
When you pass through the waters,
    I will be with you;

and when you pass through the rivers,
    they will not sweep over you.
When you walk through the fire,
    you will not be burned;
    the flames will not set you ablaze.
For I am the Lord your God,
    the Holy One of Israel, your Savior;
I give Egypt for your ransom,
    Cush and Seba in your stead.
Since you are precious and honored in my sight,

    and because I love you,
I will give people in exchange for you,
    nations in exchange for your life.
Do not be afraid, for I am with you. (Isaiah 43:1-5 NIV)

From the mom of nine-year-old “Cora:”

“”Cora” had an MRI on March 25th, and today [March 30] we met with her oncologist. The MRI showed that her tumor has not changed at all. This is wonderful news! This type of tumor often grows during growth spurts, and she has grown 3–4 inches over the past few months—so no growth is truly something to celebrate. Of course, we would love to see it shrink, but stability is a big win!
We have a few upcoming appointments:

  • Neurosurgeon follow-up on the 6th
  • Neurology on the 17th to discuss Botox injections to help improve range of motion in her neck
  • Nerve graft surgery on April 21st

    She continues with physical therapy and regular massages as part of her recovery.

    We are so grateful for the continued support and prayers. Please keep praying for her healing, strength, and for a smooth and successful surgery ahead.”

Jehovah Rapha,

We bless you, Lord, with all our souls and all that is within us. We bless your holy name, and do not forget any of your benefits. Thank you for forgiving our sins and healing our sicknesses. Today we come to intervene for young “Cora,” whose brain tumor removal last August has left her with hearing loss and facial paralysis on her right side. We know that you are more than able to heal, and that she is precious and deeply loved by you. So, in the name of Jesus, we pray for a restoration of full health, full hearing, and full mobility in the tissues of her head and face. Whether you choose to do this through the upcoming surgery and medical means, or through a miraculous intervention of your Power, we ask you to move and heal!

We pray for her family and friends that are standing by them. Give them the strength, encouragement, and the physical, emotional, and spiritual resources they need. Grant her parents deep wisdom, knowledge, and understanding so they can discern the best care for Cora. Be the center of their lives, their hope, their strength, and their peace.

We ask all this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, AMEN.

Bless the Lord, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless His holy name!
Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits:
He forgives all my iniquities, he heals all my diseases, He redeems my life from destruction,
He crowns me with lovingkindness and tender mercies,
He satisfies my mouth with good things, so that my youth is renewed like the eagle’s. (Psalm 103:1-5 NKJV)
