You will keep in perfect peace
those whose minds are steadfast,
because they trust in you. (Isaiah 26:3 NIV)
“It Isn’t Me”
Wow… you have so far to go.
You’ve missed everything I’ve called you to do.
Day after day, you choose the world instead of Me.
I’ve shown you my wonders. I’ve revealed My glory. Yet you live as though I’m not even there.
It isn’t me, a whisper breaks through.
You forgot your Bible. You neglect prayer. You waste your time on things that don’t matter.
Those friends you cling to? They’re not real. They’ll turn on you the moment they get the chance.
It isn’t me, the whisper grows stronger.
And you… The real you—not the version you pretend to be—you aren’t even likable.
If people really knew you, they’d walk away.
You are not called. You have never been.
There’s nothing in you that could carry anything I would ask of you.
It isn’t Me,” the voice says with unmistakable clarity.
You’re disorganized. Absent-minded. Always behind.
The ones I’ve truly called would’ve figured it out by now. They wouldn’t still have questions. They wouldn’t still struggle to believe.
It isn’t Me!” the voice now rises above every accusation.
You are nothing. And you always will be.
You’re the same as you used to be. Just like your past. You’ll never change.
Do you really think you’re any different?
Your heart is the same.
…
It isn’t Me, the voice calls, drawing you near.
My sheep hear My voice, and I know them.” (John 10:27)
I do not speak like that.
There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. (Romans 8:1)
I do not tear you down to bring you closer.
I call you forward.
You say you’ve missed it.
But I say,
I know the plans I have for you. (Jeremiah 29:11)
You say you’re not enough.
But I say,
My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness. (2 Corinthians 12:9)
You say you’re too far gone.
But I say,
I will never leave you nor forsake you. (Hebrews 13:5)
You say you can’t change.
But I say,
If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. (2 Corinthians 5:17)
That voice telling you you’re nothing…
That you’ll never become who I’ve called you to be…
That I never chose you…
That is not My voice.
Because I say:
You are chosen.
You are Mine.
You are being formed—not finished.
I am not measuring you by where you think you should be.
I am walking with you where you are.
I did not call you because you were ready.
I called you because I AM.
So hear Me now—
Not the lies.
Not the shame.
Not the voice that drives you away.
But Mine.
I have called you.
I am with you.
And I am not done with you.
It isn’t Me.
When the Devil tries to get in your head, remember the one who created you wouldn’t say what you’re thinking about yourself.”
Good Shepherd,
Help us to hear YOUR Voice and only your Voice so we know the Truth, the Way, and the Life. We ask in Jesus’s name, AMEN.
