Come Along

Last year in the late summer and fall I was working on some scripture affirmations and memory work. I collected the verses, but most of a year later I haven’t fully committed them to memory. To be fair, there are lots of verses and I’m not great at memorizing things. But, it’s been a year….

Anyway, I was working on these tonight and was struck, again, by two of them.

“My progress will have no limits when I come along with God.”

Where am I progressing to? God knows. How long will it take to get there? God knows. How do I get there? Go along with God. Just keep moving toward God and watch to see where he takes me (you).

And,

“I am girded with spiritual, mental, and physical strength and fitness to work vigorously at my God-given tasks.”

When God gives us tasks he also gives us the resources – spiritual, mental, physical, emotional – to do it. When God calls us, he equips us.

That’s all – just musing tonight on God’s call and work.

May you know the joy of walking in the footsteps God has for you, knowing that Jehovah Jireh will provide all you need for that work.

Jehovah Jireh,

Thank you for the plans that you have for our lives and for the work and purposes you give to us. Thank you for equipping us with spiritual, mental, physical, and emotional strength. Help us to submit to your leading and follow where you want us to go so that we have no limits. We ask in Jesus’s name, Amen.

“Your progress will have no limits when you come along with me, and you will never stumble as you walk along the way.” (Proverbs 4:12 TPT)

“She equips herself with strength [spiritual, mental, and physical fitness for her God-given task] And makes her arms strong.” (Proverbs 31:17 AMP)

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11 NIV)
