Bless the Lord, O my soul;
And all that is within me, bless His holy name!
Bless the Lord, O my soul,
And forget not all His benefits:
Who forgives all your iniquities,
Who heals all your diseases,
Who redeems your life from destruction,
Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies,
Who satisfies your mouth with good things,
So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
(Psalm 103: 1-5 NKJV)
[Dear Mountain Moving Friends,
Thank you for praying for 8 year old “Cora.” She’s home and doing well, and her mom posted this update:]
“Cora” has been doing well in her first week at home. She started physical therapy yesterday—her biggest goal there is regaining range of motion in her neck since they had to spread out all her muscles to get to the part of the tumor that was down on her vertebrae. She’ll begin both occupational and speech therapy next week, with speech focused on strengthening her swallowing.
She still gets tired easily, so our days have included lots of snuggles and craft time. Right now, she’s still receiving 100% of her nutrition through tube feedings and is only taking small sips of water. We’re continuing to pray that her facial paralysis improves and that she’ll be able to start eating again soon.
The good news is her incision is healing beautifully, and her sweet, silly sense of humor is absolutely still here—praise God for that.
Last night, she asked to go to brother’s baseball game (which made our hearts so happy), and we even got to see him hit a home run! Way to go!! The fresh air was great for her, but it definitely wore her out.
We’d love your continued prayers—especially for nerve healing, improved swallowing, and strength and stamina for the days ahead. We love and appreciate you all so much. Thank you for walking this journey with us.
Healing God,
Thank You for watching over little Cora, for healing her, and for giving her strength. Thank You for working through the medical community to support her recovery. We ask that You continue to give wisdom and guidance to her doctors and caregivers as they help her heal. Please continue to restore her nerves and muscles, improve her ability to swallow, and do all that is needed to bring her back to full health and energy. We pray for ongoing strength, peace, and protection for Cora and her family. Guard them in every way—spiritually, emotionally, physically, and financially. We declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper. We ask all of this in the strong and mighty name of Jesus Christ, AMEN.
No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue whichrises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, And their righteousness is from Me,” Says the Lord. (Isaiah 54:17 NKJV)
