…that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. (Ephesians 3:19 NIV)
The creation itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the liberty of the glory of the children of God. (Romans 8:21 AMP)
I read an article recently that intrigued me. Imagine yourself living in a glass box. You have every thing you need in that box, but it keeps you from growing into the fullness of who God wants you to be and what he wants you to do. Obviously, someone could break the box, but then you might be injured by the glass pieces. But what if God wanted you to liberate you from that box? What if your sincere dedication of praise to God will melt the glue holding the box together? What if all you had to do was to intentionally praise and worship him in a new way in order to be freed?
Lord, I cry out to you out of the depths of my despair! Hear my voice, O God! Answer this prayer and hear my plea for mercy. Lord, if you measured us and marked us with our sins, who would ever have their prayers answered? But your forgiving love is what makes you so wonderful. No wonder you are loved and worshiped! This is why I wait upon you, expecting your breakthrough, for your Word brings me hope. I long for you more than any watchman would long for the morning light. I will watch and wait for you, O God, throughout the night. O Israel, keep hoping, keep trusting, and keep waiting on the Lord, for he is tenderhearted, kind, and forgiving. He has a thousand ways to set you free! He himself will redeem you; he will ransom you from the cruel slavery of your sins! (Psalm 130 TPT)
Do not yield to fear in the face of the suffering to come but be aware of this: the devil is about to have some of you thrown into prison to test your faith. For ten days you will have distress but remain faithful to the day you die, and I will give you the victor’s crown of life. (Revelation 2:10 TPT)
God of the Universe, thank you for extending abundant grace and forgiveness to us. Your forgiving love makes you so wonderful! You bring us hope, so we wait and watch to see what you will do next. We will trust you for you are tenderhearted, kind, and forgiving. You set us free and redeem us from the cruel slavery of our sins. Redeem us and set us free so that we can be all you have called us to be.
Today we Pause in your Presence to receive the outpouring of your Grace….
May your hope arise new and fresh.
Let us not yield to fear in the face of suffering, trials, testing, distress, and persecution. Let us rest in the assurance of your redemption, living in your hope. We command any and all fears to leave us. God, help us remain faithful unto death so you will give us the victor’s crown of life. Free us so we can grow into the fullness of who you want us to be, we ask in Jesus’s name. AMEN.
