May integrity and uprightness protect me, because my hope, Lord, is in you.
(Psalm 25:21 NIV)
Although millions have already cast their ballots, the people of Jesus’s Church must continue to pray for the voting process in our nation.
God of the Universe and God of our lives,
We pray you would cause wisdom and clarity to fall afresh on us as citizens and that your will would be done in our political decisions. We pray against anything that might seek to disrupt these elections – terrorist attacks, voter fraud, voting machine malfunctions, vote suppression & altering, power outages, and all else the evil one would try. We pray these elections would be totally settled by Wednesday evening. We pray today for any spirit of anger to be held back by your righteous heavenly armies and that there would be peace for this nation and her people. In the strong name of Christ, Amen
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble. (Matthew 6:34 NIV)
Do not put your trust in princes,
in human beings, who cannot save.
When their spirit departs, they return to the ground;
on that very day their plans come to nothing.
Blessed are those whose help is the God of Jacob,
whose hope is in the Lord their God. (Psalm 146:13-15 NIV)
