Scrambled

For God is not the author of confusion but of peace,
as in all the churches of the saints.
(1 Corinthians 14:33 NKJV)

God, there’s a lot of messiness in the world today – confusion, hurt, pain, and struggle in individual lives. Confusion as to what is right and wrong. People confused as to how to hear your voice. Confusing messages in the greater culture.

Yes, Child. The world is struggling.

It’s like all the channels on an old radio or tv are scrambled up and there’s so much talk that nothing can be heard.

Yes, Child. The enemy of your soul has been very good at twisting, scrambling, and really destroying any clear communication. Remember the Garden of Eden?

Yes. All he did was take something you said in a straightforward manner and twist it into a question. After that, it’s all been downhill.

That might be a bit of a stretch. Not everything is bad. But much of your world is not how I intended it to be, so it feels “bad” to you.

Jesus said that the enemy came to “steal, kill, and destroy.” (John 10:10)

Yes, but Jesus came so you could have LIFE, and life more abundantly. When you come to me to listen for my Voice, to be healed, to understand and live according to my righteousness, you can live abundantly. Your life doesn’t have to be trapped in a “kill/steal/destroy” cycle or the scrambled messages of your enemy. Simply quiet yourself and listen. Listen to my Word and my Spirit. Listen to places of my grace, my love, my peace, my hope. Your enemy can never be those things. Only I can.

What will happen to people who don’t or can’t or won’t listen?

They will continue in that scrambled state. They will continue with their pain and their soul injuries. They will continue to walk in confusion and not blessing. They will miss the opportunity to live the abundant life that I want for them.

That makes me sad.

Pray for them. The prayers of righteous people make such a difference in your world! Pray for the men and women who knew my Voice at one time and aren’t listening now. Pray for those who have never heard of Me but are open to my Spirit. Pray for those whose hearts are dark, hard, and evil, that they will repent and turn towards me. Pray for those whose spiritual senses are so scrambled right now that they are paralyzed. PRAY, Child! You have the power to pray!

Yes, Lord!

Perfect and Abundant God,

Thank you for all the beautiful gifts and blessings of this life lived in relationship with you. Thank you for your clear Word and teachings, your sweet Spirit and its leadings, and the wisdom and peace you pour out on your people who are tuned in to your Voice. We come today to intercede for those who do not have a clear sense of your Voice in their lives. We pray for the men and women that knew you once, but aren’t listening or in relationship with you now. We pray for those who have never heard of you, but are open to your Spirit. We pray against all envy, self-seeking, confusion, and every evil thing, and we pray for wisdom, purity, gentleness, and mercy.  We pray for those whose hearts are dark, hard, and evil that they will repent and turn towards you. We pray for those whose spiritual senses are so scrambled right now that they are paralyzed. We pray in the name of Jesus against anything and everything that would cause confusion and scrambled communication between your Throne of Glory and your Creation. We pray your Abundance would pour out blessings of clarity, in Jesus’s name, AMEN.

This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic.  For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there.  But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy. (James 3:15-17 NKJV)

For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, And His ears are open to their prayers; But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.” (1 Peter 3:12 NKJV)

Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. (James 5:16 NKJV)

The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. (John 10:10 NKJV)
