Last year in the late summer and fall I was working on some scripture affirmations and memory work. I collected the verses, but most of a year later I haven’t fully committed them to memory. To be fair, there are lots of verses and I’m not great at memorizing things.Continue Reading
The last few days I have been thinking about “order” (or “structure”) in my life. Specifically, I’ve been thinking about how one of the downfalls of vacations (besides miles on the car, dollars on the credit card, and piles of laundry when you return) can be the at-least-temporary loss ofContinue Reading
Now the Philistines gathered their forces for war and assembled at Sokoh in Judah…2 Saul and the Israelites assembled and camped in the Valley of Elah and drew up their battle line to meet the Philistines. 3 The Philistines occupied one hill and the Israelites another, with the valley between them. “regroup” = “reassemble or cause to reassemble into organized groups; rearrange (something) into a new group or groups” Today has been a “regrouping” day. After ten wonderful days of travel, the realities of unpacking, laundry, and exhaustion hit. I slept in, I took a nap from 11:30 – 1:30 midday,Continue Reading

The church where my grandparents did and now my parents and sister do attend. The farm fields around my childhood home. TheseContinue Reading
“Ok. Pack your stuff. You’re going on a trip.” “What?!?!? To where?” “Just pack.
