Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it. (Proverbs 22:6 NIV)
Each Monday morning teachers in many contexts start a new work week, seeking to help educate the students they work with. Would you join me in praying for teachers today?
God,
Thank You for the gift that teachers are to the many people in their lives. Thank You for their hearts, talents, and experiences, and for the ways they pour into the lives of the young people around them, especially through their work in education. Thank You for giving them the opportunity to help students grow not only as scholars but also as individuals.
God, as they prepare for the week ahead, please grant them wisdom, discernment, and strength for each moment of each day. Holy Spirit, guide their thoughts, words, and actions so that they may reflect Your love and grace in all they do. Jesus, provide for their every need, renew their spirits, and sustain them in the work You have called them to do. We pray this in Jesus’ name, AMEN.
Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. (1 Peter 4:10 NIV)
Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. (Galatians 6:9 NIV)
